Let It Snow! Brenda Rubenstein, Brookhaven Elementary School Grade Level: 5th grade

The purpose of this bulletin board is to display the students' poetry about winter. The students were asked to write a poem about winter. Earlier in the year, the students were taught how to write many different types of poems, such as, acrostic, cinquains, diamantes, adjective, and rhyming. The students chose a topic that related to winter (snowflakes, sledding, snowboarding, skiing, etc.) and created a poem. Then they made a snowflake to accompany their poem. This bulletin board put us all in the mood for a snowy day!
