Each Snowflake is Different & so are we! Ms. Callahan, Graham School, Hastings, New York Grade Level: 4

The Graham School, a Special Acts School District for students with learning differences, enjoys a strong character education program. The purpose of the bulletin board was to promote the awareness and respect of individual differences. We combined our writing pieces with a great seasonal design. The students wrote about special individual qualities using conjunction sentence completions, sentence expansions, and sentence types. We used a sparkling blue background paper with a snowman border for our canvas, added student writing, and their pictures. Our class made snowmen and cut out snowflakes to decorate the board. Then, the students hung silver and white snowflakes from the ceiling and the finishing touch was our electrically lighted snowflakes that twinkled in our hallways and was a bright spot for everyone during our long winter days!
