A Busy Tree Marta Torres-Rivera, Harrison Rd. Elem., Spotsylvania County, VA Grade Level: Spanish teacher K-5

This bulletin board was inspired by the book "A busy Tree" by Leo Leonni, to present the change in seasons. It was also adapted to Spanish with excerpts of the book translated from English to Spanish. The text provides grades 2-5 students with the vocabulary learned during the first half of the school year. They should be able to recognize and understand most of the words. For the younger students it introduces them to the terms and the vocabulary in a fun and entertaining way. The board was made with colored butcher paper. The bulletin board is assigned to the Spanish teacher. Since there is no Spanish classroom the bulletin board serves as an extension of the classroom. It was made by the Spanish teacher Marta Torres-Rivera.
