"All I Want for Christmas..." Susan Simmons, Kiln, Mississippi Grade Level: 4th

This year we made a faux fireplace out of corrogated brick (bought at a teacher supply store), black contruction paper for the mantle, and yellow, orange, and red construction paper flames for the fire. They thought about what they wanted for Christmas this year, and wrote on a paper stocking. They colored the stocking, then drew a picture of their item, cut it out, and glued it inside the top of the stocking (sticking out some). We glued all the stockings onto the front of the fireplace. Although the display itself was cute, the wishes on their stockings were priceless (a new house, my parents to be happy again, etc...).
