The Heart of Nancy! Jamie Shearer, Pulaski, Kentucky Grade Level: Elementary

I used a large wall space beside the principals door to display the large Valentine. This way parents and visitors can view the display as they walked into the building. I used white and red butcher paper, dye-cut letters, red, light pink and bright pink small hearts. On the red larger hearts are the names of the classified/certified staff members in our building. The light and bright pink hearts are the creation of every student in the building. I passed out hearts to the classrooms and the teachers and students decorated their own hearts. I collected all hearts and placed them on the wall. Students, parents, teachers and visitors loved the display because it involved everyone and they loved to search for their name. Also people couldn't help but, smile as you walked passed the display.
