Writing / Language Arts : Omega Owl and the Scary Night

Whooooo's There?
Dorothy Via, Lincoln Heights Elementary School Charlotte, N.C.
Grade Level: second

Another second grade teacher and I read a story to our second grade classes called Omega Owl and the Scary Night. (We got this from edhelper) The story stops at a crucial point. The students had to finish the story by telling what happens next. We placed a large winter tree and cut out owl on the board. (Black paper and yellow border) The students wrote their endings. Then they colored and cut out owls, added details, and glued on feathers. We added these to the board.
